First black Commissioner for the Human Rights Commission of PEI.

Hi, my name is Dante Bazard Jr and I am the first black Commissioner for the Human Rights Commission of PEI. I would have not achieved this milestone without the love and support from my community. Community is a word and concept that has had a huge impact throughout my life. I’m a native from The Bahamas, who grew up in a large family. My strong-willed Grandmother had 10 children! My family was my first sense of community, I relied on them for comfort, strength and direction.
